Data Deletion Request

You have the right to request deletion of your personal data from ROYALS at any time. We process all deletion requests within 30 days. California residents have additional rights under CCPA.

How to Request Data Deletion

Option 1 — From Within the App

Open the ROYALS app

Go to Profile

Tap the Profile tab at the bottom of the screen.

Scroll to Account Settings

Scroll down to find "Delete My Account" at the bottom of the settings page.

Confirm deletion

Tap "Delete Account" and confirm your choice. Your account will be scheduled for deletion within 30 days.

Option 2 — Email Request

Send an email to our privacy team with your request. Please include your name and the email address associated with your ROYALS account so we can verify your identity.

What Gets Deleted

When your account is deleted, the following data is permanently removed:

Saved payment methods	Immediate	Detached from Stripe; Stripe may retain per their policy

What We Must Retain

Some data must be retained for legal, regulatory, and financial compliance reasons even after account deletion:

Payment transaction records	7 years	IRS and financial regulations
Safety incident reports	5 years	Legal compliance and insurance
Security audit logs (anonymized)	12 months	Security and fraud prevention

All retained records are anonymized — your name and contact information are removed. Records are retained only as required by applicable law and are never used for marketing.

Effect on Active Services

Active trips: Please complete any in-progress trips before requesting deletion.
Driver subscription: Account deletion cancels your subscription. No refund is issued for unused subscription time.
Outstanding payments: Any amounts owed to ROYALS must be settled before deletion is processed.
Wallet balance: Any remaining pre-paid wallet balance will be refunded to your payment method if required by California law.
Team memberships: If you are a Captain, your team members will be notified and must find a new team or go solo.

California Residents — CCPA Rights

If you are a California resident, you have the right to:

Know what personal information we collect and how it is used
Delete your personal information (subject to certain exceptions)
Correct inaccurate personal information
Opt out of the sale of personal information (we do not sell data)
Non-discrimination — we will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights

Confirmation

After processing your deletion request, we will send a confirmation email to the address on file. If you do not receive confirmation within 30 days, please follow up at privacy@anneshyroyals.com.
